Build log: August

Second entry in the build log. August was the month the store went live and the site started acting like part of a network instead of a single page.

The store opened

The playbooks, templates and blueprints that used to live only inside client engagements are now digital products you can buy and install yourself. That shipped this month, covered in the previous field note.

The network got a real footer

This site sits alongside five others: Adnah Legal, MatterOS, LexOS, ShouldISignAI and Notion for Lawyers. Until this month, that wasn't visible anywhere on the page. There's now a proper footer section linking out to all five, each with a line on what it actually is, so a visitor who lands on one site can find the rest of what I've built.

Faster admin, less busywork

Behind the scenes, the admin panel that runs this site's content picked up bulk actions on products, select several at once and activate, deactivate, feature or unfeature them together instead of one at a time, plus a delete flow for the same. The homepage's section toggles also got labels and short descriptions, so turning a section on or off in admin no longer requires guessing what it controls from the code. Neither change is visible to a reader. Both make it faster to keep the site accurate.

And The Brief goes out

This is the first issue. Going forward, this is where the build log lives: what shipped, once a month, in plain terms. The newsletter page has the full pitch if you want the monthly version delivered instead of found.
